See, it’s  not your fault you’re fat. They’ve discovered that obesity is cause by bacteria.

And I thought it was donuts.

This photo doesn’t show the actual fat bug described in the Financial Times’ piece; the cause of our weight woes goes by the handle, “enterobacter.”

According to the report, enterobacter “encourages the body to make and store fat, and prevents it from being used, by deregulating the body’s metabolism-controlling genes.”

Whew. Glad to know it wasn’t those Hanukkah donuts.
